Top European Cycling Trips For Bike Lovers

Most of you will know I have been living and loving life on two wheels for some time now. I am an avid supporter and voice for all things environmentally-friendly; luckily for me, I live in southern England, home to some of the most beautiful cycling spots, offering keen cyclists some of the UK’s best experience for all levels of cycling, mountain bikers, road and more casual family riders. With the South Downs right on my door step, I feel incredibly lucky to have unlimited access to such beautiful countryside.  What about further afield, as more and more climb on board the cycling trend and get up to scratch with how they can contribute to saving this planet, perhaps a cycling holiday will now appeal to more and more people? Bike Friendly Travel For many, a holiday is a time to relax and unwind, the thought of excessive exercise whilst on holiday may put many people off the idea. Have you ever considered that actually travelling by bike is much less tiring on the fee...

Freelancers and outsourcing work is nothing new in the fast paced environment of a digital agency, but many young professionals have taken a new approach to freelancing, paying for their travels around the world with remote work for agencies and businesses in the UK. We can track this trend back to the UK itself, with hundreds of tech workers leaving London for more affordable and friendly digital environments in areas such as Bristol, Birmingham, and Brighton. It was also commonplace for a Birmingham or Brighton web agency  to hire remote workers from London who had the experience but didn’t want to leave the capital. The philosophy soon grew and digital freelancers begun taking their remote work elsewhere, mainly outside of the UK. We get a glimpse of what this sort of profession may entail from an article in The Telegraph . Anna Hart, who used to work in Hackney as ...

Europe By Rail Or Mediterranean Break?

Image
‘Europe by Rail’ sounds brilliant doesn't it? A kind of romantic introduction to a film that everyone wants to watch because you are sure to see a lot of amazing things, hear some hilarious jokes and experience a thrilling adventure. It kind of is but it will be the single most expensive way of watching several really good films in one sitting. My best friend and I took on this mammoth adventure; we planned a round trip using our 1 month continuous global youth InterRailPass and we planned to visit over ten cities in six different countries. This sounds awesome, right? And in all fairness, we had some incredible times. But all in all, this trip cost us over £1000, and realistically, we probably only saw about 8% of Europe. The constant moving, checking-in, checking-out, running along platforms, reserving tickets and looking for toilets (with huge rucksacks!) took over the majority of the trip that had cost us so much. For the amount of money and time, we should h...
