Top 3 Cycle Events to Look Out for This Summer

So yesterday (Sunday 19 th June) it was the London to Brighton cycling event, a hugely anticipated British Heart Foundation charity fundraising bike ride between the capital and everyone’s favourite seaside town. The national company, which oversees almost all the UK’s rail infrastructure, belongs to a collective of rail companies that have been subject to increasing criticism over the past decade. A drop in the level of services provided, as well as the quality of service and clarity in communication with customers is created an increasingly frustrated public. First and foremost are National Rail’s budget woes which, as a public sector company, means that the taxpayers will be paying most of the costs. At current, the company utilises a spending plan worth £38.5 billion known as CP5, intended to run from 2014 to 2019. Image Source Is it always this busy in Summer? The EU Referendum, Brighton Fringe Festival, Father’s day, The Euros and The Olympics (that one’s really crept up on me). I’ll start at the beginning and let you know what I think. The EU No, they’re not just my favourite vowels. I have been doing my research. Of course, every vote counts and I really want to make an informed decision before casting my ballot. It’s really frustrating that we’re fed so much misinformation and conflicting reports. It seems every major news outlet is subtly or not so subtly feeding an underlying agenda or affiliation with either side. It almost feels like we’re deliberately overloaded with facts, figures, jargon and spokesperson interviews to intimidate us! Everything I have read or researched thus far supports my decision.
